birth, adoption or placement for adoption, you are eligible to add the child to your current benefit plans or cancel coverage. You may also be able to enroll in certain benefit plans that offer an enrollment due to the addition of a new child to your family. Changes must be made <strong>within 30-60 days of gaining a new child<\/strong> (deadline varies by plan). Your 30-60 day enrollment period begin on the date of the event \u2013 the date of birth, adoption or placement for adoption.<\/p>\n<p>With the birth or adoption of new child you may be eligible for Paid Parental Leave. Review the <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.wisconsin.edu\/ohrwd\/benefits\/leave\/paid-parental-leave\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paid Parental Leave web page<\/a> for details.<\/p>\n<h2>How Benefits are Affected<\/h2>\n<p>Information specific to each benefit plan can be accessed below.<\/p>\n<p>To review which plans you are currently enrolled in log into Workday (<a href=\"http:\/\/myworkday.wisconsin.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">myworkday.wisconsin.edu<\/a>). Once in Workday, from the Menu in the upper left go to Personal, then select Benefits and Pay. Coverage is effective on the date of the birth, adoption or placement for adoption.<\/p><ul><li>Add the new child to your existing coverage<\/li><li>Enroll (can cover all eligible family members)<\/li><\/ul><p>You may also change health insurance plan carriers or health plan design within 30 days of the birth, adoption or placement for adoption. A change to your health insurance plan carrier or health plan design is effective the first of the month on or following receipt of your change. If you change your health insurance plan carrier (for example: from Dean to Quartz), all accumulators (deductible, benefit maximums and out-of-pocket limits) will reset. Pharmacy benefit accumulators and Uniform Dental benefits continue regardless of a plan change and\/or health insurance carrier change.<\/p><p>You may also request to cancel coverage within 30 days of the birth, adoption or placement for adoption.
